3rd September 2025 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 20/30 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Heavy rain, then sunny, breezy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wednesday 3rd September - walk ** – Around Felixstowe – cloudy with heavy rain then sunny afternoon, breezy. With strong winds and rain forecast today and as I have windsurf foiled four days in a row I decided to have a day off so had a bit of a lay-in. I then had a drive round Felixstowe to take some wave pics as it was just after high tide, I stopped at The Dip before moving to Felixstowe Ferry, the sea was nothing special and the wind was never as strong as they said, things are always over egged these days! I had hoped to do my exercises but it took so long to sort out a few pics to send to the TV weather it was lunch time so I packed a picnic despite it being very gloomy and threatening rain! We had to fill up with diesel and pump our tires up first before heading over to Levington Marina for lunch by the Orwell just as the heavy rain arrived! We enjoyed our roll with the rain beating down, so no walk here so we headed back to Felixstowe as the dark clouds moved away so we went for our daily walk down to Felixstowe pier and along the prom to the Spa Theatre and back through the gardens and very mild it was too! Another breezy day tomorrow so hope to get out on the water somewhere if not too wet? PS - we had a brief but lovely sunset:) Photo Album here |
